Training for the London Marathon can be hungry work, so Bella Italia employees Claire Clarke and Nigel Kent are stocking up on plenty of carbohydrates in preparation for their run.
Nigel and Claire will be raising money for Tommy's, the baby charity, Bella Italia's dedicated charity for the second year running. In their first year of collaboration, Bella Italia raised over £31,000 for the charity, and is hoping to top that in 2007.
Mother-of-two Claire, 33, is HR manager at Bella Italia's head office, and says "Being a mum myself, I appreciate the work and research Tommy's does." Nigel, of Wilmington, Kent, also has two children, and adds "The marathon has always been something I have wanted to do, Tommy's is a great cause to raise money for."
